Ahead of the charity AGM next month, Aberdeen-based charity – DRiNKLiNK is proud to announce the appointment of Graeme Wood as Secretary and Jenny Stables as Treasurer.
DRiNKLiNK launched in 2012 with the aim to promote supportive information and services to people affected by alcohol misuse among family, friends and workplaces. Since then, the charity has received a lot of community support.
Graeme Wood, Business Optimisation Direction with Bibby Offshore, joined the charity with a view to assist the cause as a non-executive director with a view to improve operational efficiency.
Speaking on the appointment he said: “I am in a position where I have the time to put something back into the local community and after hearing more about the charity and what it is trying to achieve decided to offer my support. We have a great team committed to a very worthy cause and I am proud to be able to contribute.”
Jenny Stables, has made great strides in the role with a view to improving the financial governance of the cause.
She said: “As a board member, transparency and absolute security in our finances is naturally incredibly important to me. It means a lot to our investors and our suppliers to have a modern, robust financial infrastructure and I am excited to come up with solutions that prepare the charity to scale up as we go from strength to strength.”
The charity itself are appealing to the local business community as they look to appoint an HR advisor and a head of corporate communications at board level. For more information, email DRiNKLiNK Chairperson, Stacey.summers@drinklink.org or take a look at the opportunities at mydrinklink.org.uk.
