Improve Employability

We have strong links with the business community and developed a volunteer programme that allows you to improve your employability – increasing your chances to get that dream job.

Kickstart your career with our free 12-week programme

About us

DrinkLink provides vital support for those affected by someone else’s drinking. Whether you’re dealing with the impact of alcohol use by a family member, friend or colleague, we are here to offer comprehensive support, information and services to help you move forward. We’re here to support you when they cannot.

Our Employability Programme

Life has thrown challenges your way, and you’ve learned how to cope, adapt, and keep going. If you’ve experienced a family member struggling with alcohol, you know what it means to be a strong, resilient, and natural leader. But when it comes to finding your career path, landing job interviews, and building the confidence to succeed, you might not always feel as sure of yourself.

We have designed an innovative, 12-week, programme to enhance your chances of employment. Developed in collaboration with business leaders, our programme combines valuable volunteer experience with targeted skills development, helping you build an impressive CV and be your absolute best in interviews. You’ll also have access to your own mentor and build a portfolio to showcase your skills. We will help you build on your strengths and show potential employers how your experience makes you a valuable asset.

While we cannot guarantee employment, we will ensure you are in the strongest possible position to succeed in today’s job market.

Who is the programme for?

The programme is suitable for you if you are aged 16-24 years old, an unofficial carer and have been impacted by alcohol misuse.
